Almost forget this month’s 12 of 12 even though I kept reminding myself. Of course, then I was so busy with code that I kept forgetting to take pictures throughout the day. Oops! I did manage to squeak out 12 shots, though.

8:14 AM: Driveway
Running late to work as usual but I had to document that it was only 8AM and already 75 out. Pfft, Florida.

9:51 AM: Office
Filling out my online timesheet.

10:25 AM: Office
Taking a break from some frustrating code and decided to work on a graphic for the blog.

11:35 AM: Boston Market Drive-Thru
Had no time to buy lunch supplies this past weekend, so I’m in line at Boston Market waiting for my order.

Well, after spending several hours running data recovery software, I’ve managed to save the majority of my 12 of 12 pics for this month. Memory card failure? Not fun.
I was supposed to be camping this past weekend which would have made for a fun/different 12 of 12 for April. Alas, it wasn’t meant to be. Instead, I spent the day helping with the ongoing remodeling of Mo’s kitchen. Luckily we’re finally at the point where you can see the progress made at the end of the day. From Friday afternoon to Sunday evening, we went from having a non-functional room to having two working appliances in place and half of the cabinetry on the walls. Check out our Saturday progress below…

8:03 AM: Living Room
It was Lucky Charms for breakfast as I barely paid attention to the morning news and Fred waited patiently to lap up my leftover cereal milk.

9:12 AM: Gas Station
Because I waited until the weekend to fill up, I got stuck paying 3 cents more than I would have if I had filled up two days earlier. Damn gas prices. However, I did get to act as a human GPS for a lady who had gotten herself all turned around.

10:25 AM: Azalea Park Little League Fields
At HP’s softball game, watching her get ready to steal home.

modernmami tagged me for this meme and I did it over at Ramblings but felt like that was cheating a bit since narrowing it down to just TV facts kinda defeats the “random” part, no? So I decided I’d post here as well. Plus, I needed a new post to throw up here. I just finished two books I want to talk about but have been swamped with some unexpected extra work and this was something quick I could do on quick little breaks.
Here we go, seven random facts about me…
- I have a very high tolerance for pain which is both a great and bad thing. Great because not much is so painful that I can’t deal with it, bad because there are times when I should go to the doctor and don’t because I don’t realize how badly I’ve hurt myself. Getting things taken care of after they’ve passed the point of “oh that’s easy to fix” really kinda sucks.
- On the flip side, I’m extremely squeamish. Not so much visually as descriptively. Seeing blood doesn’t bother me but imagining how you hurt yourself? Worst. Thing. Ever. Show me a razor blade and a finger with blood on it and I’m gagging… whether or not the two are even related. Sometimes an overactive imagination isn’t such a great thing.
- I’m very protective of my personal space. I really hate it when people invade it uninvited. I just re-arranged my office at work partly to stop people from walking around my desk into my area. Seriously. Is it necessary to sit on my shoulder just to ask me a question?
- I’m not a morning person. And that’s an understatement. I really need about two hours of “waking up” time in the mornings during which I don’t have to be social. Not getting that time can affect my mood for the rest of the day and also brings out Bitchy!Rae. It’s not pretty.
- My pizza of choice would be thin crust with ham and green peppers. Because I’m what you’d call a picky eater, this always seems to shock people. I don’t get it. It’s not like it’s some kind of exotic combo of toppings. Right?
- I love to plan events/activities but not necessarily to host/attend them. Too bad I didn’t realize I could actually have a career as an event planner when I was in college because, in a lot ways, it’d be the perfect job for me.
- When I’ve had a bad day, there’s nothing I want more than to go home and cuddle up with a good book.
